Overview
The Foundation was established in 2012 with the VISION of "helping others to help themselves" and the MISSION of “continuing the charitable legacy of Mr. Lim Por Yen in Greater China by supporting and developing self-sustaining activities with the maximum impact.”
The Board of the Foundation consists of the Chairman, Mr. Lester Lam Hau Yin, Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Lam Ho Yi, JP, the Directors, Dr. Lam Kin-ming, Mr. Tsui Yuk Kit and Mr. Edward Wan. Between them, the members of the Board have extensive collective experience in charitable work, administration, commerce and heritage.

The organizations with whom we have worked successfully driving our first eight years of operation include: The Hong Kong Vocational Training Council, The Child Development Matching Fund, Hong Kong Special Olympics, Hong Kong University SPACE, The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Care Action, Camp Quality Hong Kong, The Guangzhou Municipal Public Welfare Foundation, Orbis, The Hong Kong Coalition for Professional Services, Yan Chai Hospital Lim Por Yen Secondary School, Chiu Yang Por Yen Primary School, Hong Kong Hope Through Music Children’s Charity Limited., Hong Kong Hereditary Breast Cancer Family Registry, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
We are now looking ahead proactively at fund raising and opportunities to meet the goals set by our Chairman and the Board. We will always abide by the principle of “maximum impact” when assessing funding requests.
