The Medical Faculty of The University of Hong Kong Hosts Homecoming Dinner in Celebration of 130 Years of Medicine in Hong Kong

Joining Professor Gabriel Leung, Dean of Medicine, in the evening of December 17 (Sunday), were the Guest of Honour, the Hon Mrs Carrie Lam, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong SAR Government and the Chancellor of HKU, Dr. the Hon Sir David Li, Pro-Chancellor of HKU, Professor the Hon Arthur Li, Chairman of the Council of HKU, Professor Peter Mathieson, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKU, who had witnessed the opening of this special event at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

 

The Homecoming Dinner, as the finale of "130 Years of Medicine in Hong Kong" was held successfully on December 17, 2017 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. Over 3.500 alumni, colleagues, students and friends of the Faculty joined the event, which has commemorated not only the anniversary but also the Faculty’s 130 years of achievement and commitment to the advancement of medical care in Hong Kong and abroad.

 

Por Yen Charitable Foundation has taken part in the event as a sponsor of a table to show full support to the Hong Kong University, Faculty of Medicine.
