4th Hong Kong International Student Innovative Invention Contest 2016

Por Yen Charitable Foundation has been supporting Yan Chai Hospital Lim Por Yen Secondary School since the 3rd Contest 2015. The 4th Hong Kong International Student Innovative Invention Contest 2016 has completed with the highest participation comparing to the past. The final contest and awards ceremony was held on 17 December, 2016, with Professor Yuen Kwok-yung, SBS, JP, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Hong Kong, as the Guest of Honour.
The Contest is jointly organized by Yan Chai Hospital Lim Por Yen Secondary School, Yan Chai Hospital and 4 of Yan Chai’s affiliated primary and secondary schools. Over 200 teams participated, 190 are from local schools a 50% increase comparing last year and 17 are from overseas countries and regions including Macau, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.
The aim of Hong Kong International Student Innovative Invention Contest 2016 is to create a platform for Hong Kong students to boost their creativity and inventiveness as well as to exchange innovative ideas with students from abroad. Local top talents will be selected to participate in other international competitions.
